Oil Paints for Walls & Woodwork
Oil paints are traditional, durable finishes that become part of the wood rather than laying on top of it as with modern paints. Oil paints work well on a variety of wooden surfaces such as walls, wood furniture, and structure exteriors.
Can you use oil paint on wood?
You can easily apply oil paint to walls and other woodwork to create a durable and flexible coating. A finish of oil paint will expand and contract with the wood surface through seasonal temperature and moisture level changes.
At Earth Pigments, our oil paint recipes and tutorials utilize linseed oil. While various oils can be used as a base for paints, linseed oil is known for it’s low drying time and durability.
