Kaolin Clay is used as a filler in many recipes such as milk paint. It is useful as a filler that is light in weight, adds additional binding to the formulation and does not lighten the pigments as much as some other fillers. Kaolin Clay is also the primary component of clay based paints. This Kaolin, also known as China Clay, is closer to an off white which does not effect the final pigment color achieved.
